Welcome to Little Zebra

Every day is an adventure at Little Zebra! Our six childcare centres are located in Rockhampton and Townsville. We care for children from 6-weeks to school age, and aim to provide the families in our communities with a home away from home, where children receive exceptional childcare and early education.

At all times we aim to provide quality childcare that is consistent with Government and ACECQA regulations, while exceeding the expectations of our parents. We provide an environment for children that promotes safety and security, while also being conducive to learning and development.

Our Programs

At Little Zebra, we believe that play is the business of early childhood education. Our exciting play-based curriculum ensures your child gains a sense of self, has opportunities to investigate and explore, has fun playing with their peers, and builds their confidence. Our programs, designed and implemented by our qualified Educators, are intended to nurture the creativity of your child and equip them for life’s adventures.

Teaching children to love their natural world

We are passionate about educating children about sustainability, and we embed sustainable practices into our everyday routines. Children are actively involved in caring for their beautiful environment through our gardening programs, where they enjoy watering the plants, learning about how plants grow, and getting involved in our worm farms and composting practices. We place great importance on giving every child the opportunity to actively participate in our sustainability and gardening programs.

Technology in our centre

Technology plays an important part in our curriculum. Each childcare centre has access to interactive whiteboards and computers. Kindyhub allows instant access to your child’s learning documentation, and also provides a convenient channel for Educator to parent communication.

Extracurricular Activities

All of our daycare centres in Townsville and Rockhampton offer exciting extracurricular activities included in our daily fee. These are taught by professionals in each field, and complement your child’s learning journey. See each individual centre’s page for extracurricular activities offered at your centre.

Kindergarten children at all of our centres, enjoy swimming lessons at no extra cost to parents. These swimming lessons are taught by qualified swimming instructors at a local swim school.
